Aamir Khan is a Bollywood actor, director, producer and screenwriter. Aamir plays in all genres of Indian cinema – comedy, action, drama, romance. Due to his various roles and films, he is considered as a complete Indian actor of post-1990s. Several of his films are considered cult classics, such as Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India (2001), Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Rang de Basanti (2006), Jo Jita Vohi Sikandar (1992) and Andaz Apna Apna (1994).
Early life
Aamir Hussain Khan was born on 14. March 1965: Born at Holy Family Hospital, Bandra, Mumbai, India, into a conservative Muslim family. His father Tahir Hussain was a producer and director and his mother Zeenat Hussain was a housewife.
Aamir attended the J.B. Petit School for his preschool education and then St. Mary’s High School for his post-secondary education. Anne, Bandra, up to class eight and completed her ninth and tenth classes at Bombay Scottish School, Mahim.

Khan was first seen in Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973) as a child actor. He was only eight years old. He appeared again as a child artist in the film Madhosh (1974). Much later, he acted with his friend and then director Ashutosh Gowariker in the feature film Holi (1985), which also starred Naseeruddin Shah.
He played his first major role in Kayamat Se Kayamat Tak (1988) (opposite Juhi Chawla). His other most famous role as an adult is in Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India (2001), which was nominated for an Oscar.
His performance in the film and thriller Raah (1989) earned him a special mention at the 36th National Film Awards. He established his name in Bollywood with roles in several lucrative films in the 1990s, including the romantic drama Dil (1990), the comedy-drama Ham Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1993) and the romantic film Raja Hindustani (1996).
His performance in Earth (1998) as Ice Candy Man received rave reviews from Indian and international critics.
The success of Lagan: (2001) was followed by Dil Chahta Hai (2001), in which Khan starred alongside Saif Ali Khan and Akshaye Khanna, while Preity Zinta played his love interest. The film was written and directed by Farhan Akhtar, then a debutant.
His film Taare Zamin Par, released in 2007, is also his first film as a director. Khan won the 2007 Filmfare Awards for Best Director and Best Film and the National Film Award for Best Family Wellness Film.
His first commercial action film, Ghajini (2008), became the highest earning film of its time in Indian cinema.
Personal life
Khan married Rina Dutta on the 18th. April 1986. They have two children, son Junaid Khan and daughter Ira Khan. Rina was briefly involved in Khan’s career when she worked as a producer on Lagaan. In December 2002, Khan filed for divorce. Rina took custody of both children.
The 28th. In December 2005, Khan married Kiran Rao. They met on the set of Lagan (2002), where she was an assistant director. His first film came out in 2006, Rang de Basanti, after his divorce from Rina. The 5th. In December 2011, Khan and Kiran announced the birth of their son Azad Rao Khan through a surrogate.
