Lewis Capaldi is a Scottish singer-songwriter. He is best known for his single The One You Loved. He discovered his love for music at the age of four during a summer camp. His single Someone You Loved was at the top of the UK singles chart and was nominated for the 62nd annual Grammy Award for Song of the Year and won the UK Song of the Year Award in 2020.

Lewis Capaldi was born on the 7th. Born in Bathgate in October 1996, son of a fishmonger and a nurse. Capaldi is the youngest of four children. His mother is a nurse and his father is a fishmonger. Capaldi is owned by Scots, Irish and Italians. Capaldi also left his parents’ home in Bathgate in September 2020 and bought a farm in Castlehill, near Glasgow.
Education
According to his qualifications, Capaldi studied at St Kentigern Academy, Blackburn in the West Lothian. He graduated in 2016. He has an HND in music from New College Lanarkshire, Motherwell.

Capaldi released his first EP, Bloom, on the 20th. October 2017, shortly before the release of the single Bruises. After the success of Bruise and his first EP, he was invited to support many famous bands and musicians, including Rag ‘n’ Bone Man in November 2017, Milky Chance in January 2018, Niall Horan in March 2018 and Sam Smith in May 2018.
He continued his career with a fourth major UK and European tour in the summer of 2018, performing at numerous festivals including Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Firefly, Mountain Jam, Osheaga, Reading & Leeds Festival, Rize and TRNSMT. Radio 1 picked it up on the 31st. July 2018 as one of the two British candidates. In August of that year, he performed with Irish independent rock band Kodaline at a concert in Belfast.

In November 2018 Capaldi released his second EP, Breach, which includes several previously released singles such as Tough and Grace, as well as new songs like the hit Someone You Loved.
A few days later he did a cover of Lady Gaga’s Petty, from her popular film A Star Is Born, live on Radio 1’s Live Lounge. He has toured extensively all over the world, including several summer festivals. He also supported the group Bastille on their Still Avoiding Tomorrow Tour 2019.
